In this workshop participants will have the opportunity to learn several techniques making an item using botanical gel printing. There will be a focus on eco-friendly methods. You will learn how to create a simple gel print onto fabric which you can then turn into a scroll, a paper/fabric journal, or a journal cover. There will only be time to work on one during the workshop, but you will have the knowledge and materials to begin another later.

The workshop could be entirely created by hand, or you could bring a sewing machine if desired. It is suitable for beginners and those with experience. Be prepared to fall in love with gel printing.

A kit will be provided with all materials needed, cost of $20 to tutor on the day.

Kay Murray is a textile artist and an enthusiastic quilter being a member of Eastwood Patchwork Quilters and Quilt NSW. She is also a long-term member of ATASDA. Kay exhibits regularly with the above organisations and with the small textile art group, "Extra Texture"
